Radioactive Waste Disposal: Dumping Grounds and Georgio's Return
Take waste out of the shop, leave it at the Dumping Grounds and handle Georgio returning it. Separate reported methods from unverified permanent-disposal claims.

Check space before accepting a waste deal
Payment for taking waste is not the same as profit from ordinary stock: the barrels take storage and must be handled afterwards. Check free space, your intended trip and the trade terms before accepting another batch.
Keep ordinary stock and valuable containers separate. Do not buy additional waste merely because an older guide promises permanent disposal; the available evidence includes a return event.
Carry waste to the Dumping Grounds
The ground-disposal method is a community report, not a newly tested current-build guarantee.
- Choose the backpack you will actually take after closing and put the intended barrels inside it.
- Visit the Dumping Grounds with that backpack selected.
- Move the waste out of the carried backpack into the ground inventory.
- Recover the other items you want to keep without picking the waste up again.
- Confirm departure, then check the inventory that came back with you.
If Georgio brings the waste back
Do not treat a return as proof that you forgot every step. Read the event and leave room to receive the barrels. Return timing and quantity are not established as a universal rule.
The latest visible reply reports all five barrels being returned after one trip, followed by one barrel per night without another return. That observation does not prove a one-barrel limit or a fixed maximum number of returns.
Keep older container tricks separate
The original discussion also reports losing a spare container to dispose of its contents. This is a dated workaround, not a confirmed current shortcut. Do not sacrifice useful equipment to test it.
The discussion does not establish a radiation, health or attractiveness penalty. Do not add an assumed daily damage cost or treat an ordinary cleaner as confirmed hazardous-waste disposal.
Check why the waste is still taking space
Keep the trip, barrel location and return encounter separate when diagnosing the result.
| Symptom | Check | What the evidence supports |
|---|---|---|
| Barrels came home immediately | Were they still inside the carried backpack? | Leaving them in the carried inventory does not leave them at the dump. |
| Barrels arrived later | Was there a Georgio return event? | Community reports include returns; quantity and repetition vary or remain unknown. |
| A crate disappeared too | Was the old container-trash workaround used? | That method sacrifices the container and is not confirmed for the current build. |
| Disposal fails repeatedly | Record build, selected backpack and event text | Keep the uncertainty; no source proves a universal permanent-removal method. |
Check the result before accepting more
After leaving, inspect what returned in your carried inventory and watch for a later delivery. A single successful trip is not proof of a permanent rule. Resume ordinary trading rather than filling the shop with another batch while disposal remains uncertain.
