Demo Bugs and Known Limits

Use these fixed Demo boundaries and safety rules when planning a route.

What the current Demo includes

The Demo covers starting specializations, Perks, customers, trade, appraisal, water, wine, machines, animals, events, Security, Augs and Black Market systems. Availability differs from Playtest and the intended full release; check the build shown in your menu.

Known scope limits

  • Reaching the displayed property value does not automatically unlock a shop purchase; the property UI can describe a future or unavailable feature.
  • Endless Mode and Rock Bottom omit or alter some scripted events and customers. A missing visitor is not necessarily a bug.
  • Several menu specializations are labelled Demo unavailable or In development. Do not present their opening inventory as playable Demo content.
  • Keep Mod-dependent unlocks separate from vanilla progression. An unlock Mod does not prove a locked feature works in an unmodified Demo.

Save and inventory precautions

Keep valuable goods in protected storage and confirm a save before large transfers. Some older builds can lose large counter inventories silently. Check your build and whether reload restores stock instead of assuming a universal current bug.

How to report a Demo issue

  1. Record build, mode, specialization, perks, day, event, and exact item count.
  2. Reproduce once in a separate save without a Mod.
  3. Capture the inventory before and after the action, then state whether reload restored it.
  4. Compare with the official patch notes before calling it a regression.

Locked features and practical troubleshooting

An unlock Mod can expose unfinished professions and services. Placeholder gunsmith items, inactive farm unlocks and a non-working shop expansion are not usable vanilla production routes.

Keep the Security archive, Wanted list and exchange sheet because replacement is not guaranteed. For an idle machine, check power, inputs, chipset and modules. For an idle charger, check the paid night power service and the next-day battery reading; rates depend on hardware.

To dispose of nuclear-waste barrels, place them in an empty container and submit it through the bin/cleaning service, or use the dump. Georgio may return a discarded barrel once. Other effects and repeat-return conditions remain unverified.
