Rock Bottom is an extreme challenge. Its opening priorities differ from a normal run; the route below has not been verified as a complete current-build run.
Rock Bottom opening constraints
The menu describes a mentor who helps negotiate the lease, followed by a start with only the shop and the will to survive. It also warns that certain scripted events and customers will not appear. Do not rely on the normal Apprentice timeline or expect its starting Storage Bay, Credits and household/food stock.

Rock Bottom
The Mentor didn't help you with anything aside from negotiating your lease with the Landlord. You have nothing but the Store, and a will to survive.
Opening priorities
- Read the actual lease and available inventory before spending or selecting a service.
- Learn scavenging and assess injury risk before choosing it as a first-day stock route.
- Keep the highest-likelihood sale goods and a cash reserve. An item with theoretical value is not spendable cash.
- Build one modest money loop before attempting rats, multiple machines or long wine aging.
- Track the Security archive if the opening strategy uses illegal stock or reporting.
If Odin and the reporting option appear, a report may pay around 450 Credits at the expense of Revolution reputation. The visitor and payout are not guaranteed, and some scenarios omit scripted visitors. Do not make rent depend on this option.
Hard Mode is a separate option
Rock Bottom and Hard Mode are separate choices. Hard Mode removes retail markup and rent grace, raises some service costs and doubles rent increases. Compare both scenario and difficulty when planning profit.
Evidence and next steps
There is no verified full-release build, ending route, or optimal first-week Rock Bottom sequence here. Startability, exact beginning funds, visitor exclusions and a complete rent-survival run remain pending gameplay checks.
