Probably Stolen gameplay guide

Customers and Vendors

Understand the customer queue, scheduled visitors, display sellers, and the limits of customer data in the Demo.

Evidence: Community Reported · Scope: Steam Demo; exact build varies by mechanic · Source review: 2026-10-11

Plan around the queue and weekday schedule below. Perk-gated visitors and customer pools can vary by scenario and build.

How the daily queue works

The queue prioritizes display buyers, event customers, scheduled visitors, possible Augs, sign-generated sellers, remaining random display customers, another possible Aug, perk rewards, Wild’s seller, the general merchant, landlord and phone customers. High-priority visitors can displace random visitors when the daily cap is reached.

A display seller is a conversion of a random customer, not a guaranteed extra person. A display buyer is a separate buyer spawn. Display signs, attractiveness, lower-level reputation, perks, events, and whether you went out the previous night can all affect the final mix. Use the in-game clientele panel to check the current pool and tags before committing valuable stock.

Reported weekday schedule

DayReported visitor or condition
MondayPossible rare merchant with a reported Lower-level perk; guaranteed ordinary thief with a reported Black Market perk.
TuesdayNo fixed visitor identified.
WednesdayFlexi buyer; Security requisition officer seller with the relevant Security perk.
ThursdaySecurity requisition officer buyer.
FridayRetired suppliers if their upgrades were purchased; Dr. Jackson; possible Revolution raider and rare merchant with their reported conditions.
SaturdayFlexi buyer.
SundaySupply runner, landlord, merchant, and a perk-gated Revolution quartermaster.

The schedule is not guaranteed for every save. If a visitor is absent, check unlocks, Perks, scenario, events, customer cap and build.

Practical shop routine

  1. Read the calendar and active event before opening; demand and customer tags may change.
  2. Check the clientele panel for tags and budgets, then stock only goods the likely buyers can purchase.
  3. Use display signs to target a seller pool, but remember they compete with scripted visitors for queue space.
  4. Keep a cash reserve for rent and utilities instead of buying every offered lot.
  5. After a surprising result, record day, scenario, perks, reputation, event, display layout, and customer name. Those conditions make a report reproducible.

Aug impersonation caveat

Augs can occupy several queue positions and imitate a display buyer’s faction, budget, tags and scanner properties. Visual identity alone is unreliable. Use Aug identification for further checks.

Where to source route supplies

Supplier poolUseful recorded stockHow to find it
Household neon-sign scavengerPitcher, filter, testing kit and tabletsHousehold sign converts a normal customer
Water sellerWater containers/batchesWater sign; inspect contents rather than trusting label
Ordinary scavengerBasic modules, electronic parts, testing items; wine supplies after unlockRandom pool or Scavenger’s Token

Retired rancherCage/feed gear, rats, scanner and livestock suppliesFriday after business unlock
Dr. JacksonMachines, tools and upgradesShop; reported Friday visitor
ThiefCards, locked department crates, chips, modules and purification toolsBlack Lamp/reputation pool; check heat
Wild’s referralMiner, chemist, hydroponic farmer or pharmacistReferral is a pool roll, not one guaranteed profession

Supply Runners have a listed 50% markup; the Sunday merchant has a 15% discount before other trading effects. On Wednesday and Saturday, a Flexi buyer selects Household, Medical, Material or Food from the strongest combined inventory value, not solely display-case stock.

Scenario-dependent story appointments

The general weekday schedule and named story timeline are different. People and NPC Timeline records Georgio, Len, Eleanor, Jackson and Wild separately and identifies their reported conditions. Do not force those dates onto Endless or Rock Bottom saves.

Stock sourcing by channel

Choose a stock route from the following options:

ChannelReported stock and conditions
Neon-sign sellersFood, Household, Material, Medical or Water sellers drawn from random slots; stock depends on rolls, reputation and unlocks
Specialist visitorsMiner supplies ore; Lower-level Chemist supplies medicine/substances; farmer supplies food and unlocked wine fruit; Upper-level Pharmacist can supply rare medical goods
Black lampsFood Thief for food, Petty Thief for broader stolen stock, Thief for luxury tools, crates, cards and chipsets; inspect heat and contraband
Faction sellersSecurity surplus; Lower-level rare merchant; Revolution Quartermaster and other reputation-gated suppliers
Wild introductionsContact cards for Red Imp Brewery, GP Mining and other suppliers; telephone orders arrive later
After-hours visitsDr. Jackson equipment, ration-station food or Dumping Grounds salvage
ProductionWater treatment, winemaking, furnace output and rat meat

Neon signs source goods; physical display stock attracts buyers. A seller type is not a guaranteed daily visitor. Wild’s seller referral is reported to append a seller near the end of the day from its specialist pool; its pharmacist can sell real or fake Immunivax. Authenticate it before assuming a profitable medical route.

A phone number works only after acquiring the contact in game. Keep the contact card and check order quantity, price and delivery time; do not assume same-day delivery. A complete order and upgrade table is not yet available.

See Scavenging for night stock, Underground Exchange for bin trades and Animals and Rats for feed planning.

The attached September 24 tips recommend opening larger supply bundles before the main customer day rather than judging the outer package. Another tip reports a merchant buying empty water containers before deliveries; no universal name or schedule is established. Inspect buying tags and preserve production containers before clearing stock.

Dialogue colors can indicate factions: brown for Lower-levels, purple for Upper-levels, red for Security, black for Black Market and green for Revolution. This is a faction cue, not an Aug verdict; copied roles require separate checks.

Compare contacts, referrals and faction conditions in Reputation and Wild Services.
